UPDATE: supposedly Patrick Dempsey is in the running for playing Dr. Strange.
According to filmonic.com, writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (Conan, Cowboys and Aliens) have been hired to pen a Dr. Strange movie. No word on if this will be a BIG movie that fits into the Avengers fiasco or one of the smaller films they’re starting, like the Luke Cage movie. Thoughts? Who do you think would play a good Dr. Strange?

I’m drawing a blank on who would make a descent Strange. Someone British maybe. I don’t think Strange is British, but I’ve always heard that accent in my head when he talks.
Pierce Brosnan?
Supposedly Patrick Dempsey is in the running for it – him playing a surgeon isn’t much of a stretch but I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy so I’m not sure about his acting chops. RDJ would’ve been great for this if he wasn’t already Iron Man. I could get on board with a British Dr. Strange. He’s actually from Nebraska, but he doesn’t seem like one of those characters with such an elaborate origin that you couldn’t make tweaks. I don’t know a whole lot about him though.
